Mining Projects Manager

About the role

This permanent position is based in Harmony Australasia's Brisbane office on a 5/2 roster, with required travel to Papua New Guinea once per month on a 9‑day on/5‑day off rotation. Flexible work‑from‑home options are available 1‑2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mining development projects from feasibility through funding to early works and execution.
• Manage sustaining capital and major growth projects across mining, processing plant, surface and underground infrastructure.
• Oversee design, construction and operational delivery in brownfield and greenfield environments.
• Handle contract management, risk and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interpret plans and translate them into on‑site works.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Significant experience managing resources/mining projects or similar heavy‑industry projects.
• Disciplined yet pragmatic approach to design and delivery.
• Strong focus on operational interface planning and management.
• Demonstrated understanding of contract management processes.
• High capability in project engineering, risk and change management.
• Exceptional communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
