About the role
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mining Engineer to provide study and project engineering support for mineral extraction projects. You will work closely with prospectors, geologists and other specialists to assess feasibility and design mine extraction processes.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for mine development from exploration through commissioning for open‑cut, underground and unconventional methods.
- Develop project plans for underground mine development, tunnels, shafts and associated infrastructure.
- Assess technical, construction, financial and safety risks for the entire mine‑to‑export chain.
- Conduct safety assessments for underground and surface facilities.
- Coordinate contractors, labour and equipment for mining and infrastructure works.
- Monitor and report on site progress for mine development and processing facilities.
Required profile
- Professional qualification in construction, project management, engineering, surveying, architecture or information technology.
- Experience or knowledge in project management or equivalent.
