Microsoft DevOps Support Engineer

About the role

Avanade, part of Accenture, is expanding its Managed Services team and seeks a motivated DevOps Support Engineer to deliver continuous value to client businesses. The role involves providing day‑to‑day technical support across Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, infrastructure automation and cloud platform environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for client environments, including CI/CD pipelines, source control, build and release processes, and infrastructure automation.
• Analyse client issues, translate them into support actions, pipeline changes, automation updates or technical remediation.
• Prepare and maintain technical design documentation, deployment guides, test scripts, runbooks and stakeholder engagement materials.
• Support release management activities such as environment readiness, deployment validation, patches, rollback planning and release‑cycle testing.
• Develop and maintain low‑to‑medium complexity automation, scripts, pipeline templates, IaC modules and deployment improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and live cloud environments.
• Strong ability to investigate pipeline failures, deployment defects, configuration issues and performance concerns.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience running workshops and technical briefings.
• Australian citizenship; existing government security clearance is advantageous.
