Microsoft 365 & Atlassian Platform Lead

About the role

A large Western Australian enterprise is looking for someone to take technical ownership of its collaboration platforms: keeping Microsoft 365 stable for a big user base and bringing Atlassian under proper governance. You will set the direction for both platforms, from roadmap and standards through to lifecycle, and act as the senior escalation point for complex issues across teams. The role leads a small squad of platform engineers and subject matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy, standards and lifecycle for Microsoft 365 and Atlassian
• Oversee service health and escalations for supporting SaaS tools such as Miro, monday.com and LucidLink
• Reduce manual effort through automation, simplification and self-service
• Work with Cyber, Identity, Architecture, Service Desk and vendors to deliver changes cleanly
• Support practical uses of AI to improve service operations and user experience
• Keep the platforms secure, supportable and scalable

Required profile

• Strong experience with at least one major enterprise collaboration platform (Microsoft 365 and/or Atlassian preferred)
• Track record of leading across several platforms or teams, not just one system
• Solid grounding in platform governance, lifecycle, change, and incident and problem management
• Practical understanding of identity, security and integration in a cloud/SaaS environment

Required skills

• ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) exposure is a bonus
• Relevant Microsoft, Atlassian or cloud certifications are a bonus
