Medical Receptionist

About the role

A small, supportive team at a fast-paced Cheltenham clinic is looking for a Medical Receptionist to work full-time Monday to Friday. The role involves rotating between the Elsternwick site and other nearby clinics. The position suits someone eager to learn, driven, resilient and empathetic, with a strong customer service background.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phone enquiries in a timely, professional and confidential manner
• Greet patients at the front of house upon arrival
• Schedule appointments for patients and referrers
• Issue patient invoices and receipts and process Medicare rebates as required
• Enter and update patient registration details
• Keep the reception and waiting area clean and presentable

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus
• Willingness to learn medical imaging terminology
• Advanced computer and keyboard skills
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service, show care and compassion to patients, solve problems and manage time to meet team KPIs
• Positive, can-do attitude
