Mechanical Technician – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a 12‑month contract to support manufacturing operations. The role involves hands‑on building, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring equipment reliability while adhering to strict GxP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on building and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Execute mechanical maintenance tasks on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of work performed.
• Follow GxP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) rigorously.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.).
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Full Australian work rights.
