Mathematics Teacher

About the role

Byford Secondary College, an independent public school for Years 7 to 12, is recruiting a Mathematics Teacher for a permanent full-time position starting Term 1, 2027. The school is looking for a proactive, like-minded teacher who is an active contributor to the Mathematics learning area and is reflective in their practice. The position is advertised as part of a recruitment pilot that simplifies the application process.

Required profile

• Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
• Applicant must apply for a WA Working with Children Check and consent to a criminal history check and obtain a Screening Clearance Number.
• Sound understanding of the Maths curriculum and ability to use learning strategies that engage students in Mathematics.
• Ability to differentiate curriculum and use innovative approaches to support high and low achieving students.
• Experience teaching ATAR Specialist Maths is desirable.
