Manufacturing Team Leader – Preparation & Cleaning

About the role

Join Kraft Heinz as a Manufacturing Team Leader responsible for preparation and cleaning activities on a 3‑day, 12‑hour shift pattern. You will lead a team in a safe, high‑quality production environment at the Wagga Wagga site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe shift execution, ensuring compliance with lock‑out/tag‑out, walkway rules and other safety procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture by coaching, calling out unsafe behaviours and escalating risks.
• Own food safety and quality standards, maintaining hygiene, housekeeping and GMP requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and cleaning activities to keep operations running smoothly while meeting safety and quality expectations.
• Prevent non‑conforming product from being prepared or released.
• Support internal audits, food safety committees and continuous‑improvement forums.
• Manage shift‑to‑shift communication and run daily operational rhythm, including performance review and escalation.
• Drive performance by recording downtime, improving OEE, reducing waste and leading root‑cause investigations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar databases.
• Proven leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Forklift licence with F endorsement (preferred).
• Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
