Managing Principal – Corporate & Commercial

About the role

We are seeking a talented Managing Principal to join our Corporate and Commercial team at Marsh Risk in Adelaide. This hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office and involves leading key accounts and a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring exceptional client service and long‑term relationships.
• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, and support staff.
• Drive team business plans, revenue targets, and profit objectives while maintaining strict budget control.
• Oversee renewal and broking strategies, claims management, and client retention initiatives.
• Collaborate with insurers and leverage Marsh’s national and global resources to maximise client value and business growth.

Required profile

• Professional accreditation such as Tier 1 FSRA Compliance, Associate membership of The Institute, and admission as a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (NIBA).
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, relevant legislation and industry best practices.
• Proven experience managing key accounts and leading high‑performing teams in insurance or financial services.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, problem‑solving, and delegation skills.
• Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of insurance contracts, Trade Practices Act and related legislation.
• Experience with renewal, broking, claims management and client retention processes.
