Managing Consultant – Rehabilitation Services

About the role

Support people to rebuild confidence, independence and hope by guiding them through recovery, return to work and reintegration. As a Managing Consultant you will work alongside clients, clinicians and employers to deliver tailored rehabilitation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients’ rehabilitation needs – physical, ergonomic, psychosocial or functional capacity evaluations.
• Co‑design and deliver personalised rehabilitation plans aligned with recovery or employment goals.
• Manage cases end‑to‑end, coordinating with workplaces, healthcare providers and insurers.
• Provide expert advice on ergonomics, workplace modification, functional capacity and return‑to‑work.
• Build relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure sustainable outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Professional registration with AHPRA or ESSA (AEP) and a current Working With Children Check.
• Full Australian working rights, a driver’s licence and willingness to work in varied settings.
• Commitment to client‑centred care, empathy and strong communication.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in ergonomics, workplace‑modification and functional capacity assessment.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex cases.
