Manager Compliance, Controls and Ethics

About the role

Lead ethical decision‑making, strengthen governance and embed a culture of compliance across NRMA’s diverse business portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager, Group Risk, Compliance & Assurance, you will head the second‑line compliance, controls and ethics function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Group Compliance Framework, including obligations management, controls, monitoring and assurance activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to provide practical compliance guidance, training and support.
• Analyse compliance data, identify emerging trends and deliver insights to leaders and governance committees.
• Conduct and coordinate investigations in collaboration with Legal and key stakeholders.
• Support internal audit activities and assist with audit governance processes.
• Lead and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative, customer‑focused, high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
• 8+ years’ experience in compliance, audit, governance, investigations or risk.
• Experience in regulated environments, preferably member‑based organisations, consumer services, tourism, mobility or multi‑business operations.
• Strong operational mindset with ability to translate compliance obligations into business outcomes.
• Previous people‑leadership experience and strong stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERM platforms such as Protecht.
