Manager Asset Management

About the role

Lismore Council is looking for a Manager Asset Management to shape how the Council plans, prioritises and sustains its infrastructure and community assets over the long term. Reporting to the Director Corporate Sustainability, the role sets the strategic foundations that keep assets fit for purpose, financially sustainable and aligned with community service expectations. It leads asset management policy, planning and systems maturity, and advises on integrating asset-lifecycle considerations into long-term financial planning and the capital works program.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of asset management strategy, policy and plans.
• Oversee asset data quality, systems and reporting.
• Provide lifecycle, renewal and disposal advice aligned with the Long-Term Financial Plan.
• Lead continuous improvement, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with Finance, Infrastructure and executive leaders to turn technical and condition-based insights into investment priorities.
• Lead and develop a specialist team, embedding disciplined asset management practices.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Asset Management.
• Proven strategic asset management experience.
• Leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
