Maintenance Services Assistant

About the role

Derwent Views is looking for a Maintenance Services Assistant to join its team in Hobart, Tasmania. This full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position focuses on gardening and grounds upkeep while also providing general maintenance support across the aged‑care facility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain neat, tidy and safe gardens and outdoor areas.
• Perform lawn care, watering, weeding and other routine grounds tasks.
• Assist with basic preventative and corrective maintenance around the home.
• Help keep resident rooms and public spaces to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Support the wider maintenance team as required and keep work areas organised.

Required profile

• Experience in gardening or general maintenance.
• Genuine interest in working within an aged‑care environment.
• Good communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to manage a varied workload.
• Current National Police Certificate.
