Maintenance Officer – Part-Time

About the role

Oaks Adelaide Embassy Suites is looking for a dedicated, hands-on Maintenance Officer to join its Maintenance department. The role covers keeping guest rooms, public areas and facilities safe, functional and well presented. It is advertised as full time but is actually a part-time position on a Monday to Friday roster, with some weekend work and possible after-hours callouts.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general property repairs and maintenance as required
• Help run the preventative maintenance program so the property performs optimally
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas regularly
• Induct and supervise external contractors where needed
• Keep accurate daily work records and service schedules
• Support the Maintenance Manager with contractor works and maintenance projects

Required profile

• Previous hands-on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel
• Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs
• Availability to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only
