Machine Operator - Backhoe, Bobcat & Mini Excavator

About the role

BMD, Australia's leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business, is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join its project teams in North Queensland. The current opportunities include backhoe operators, Bobcat operators and mini excavator operators (5 tonne), working on civil construction and urban development projects with a strong focus on safety, productivity and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently
• Support civil construction and urban development project delivery
• Complete works in line with project specifications and schedules
• Maintain equipment and carry out pre-start inspections
• Work collaboratively with site teams and supervisors
• Adhere to all safety, environmental and quality requirements

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' machine operating experience
• Relevant machine operator tickets and licences
• Current driver's licence and construction white card
• Previous experience on civil construction projects and on urban development and infrastructure projects
• Strong safety awareness, commitment to compliance, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively within a team
