Logistics Coordinator

About the role

This role leads the seamless flow of materials across complex construction projects, coordinating just‑in‑time deliveries and maintaining full traceability from arrival to installation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and administer the delivery platform as the single source of truth for site deliveries, bookings and logistics scheduling.
• Coordinate just‑in‑time delivery of all materials aligned to the construction program and daily install sequence.
• Liaise daily with subcontractors, suppliers and transport providers to confirm delivery details, vehicle types and unloading requirements.
• Receive, verify and reconcile delivery dockets against purchase orders and maintain the site inventory system.
• Ensure transport activities comply with HVNL and Chain of Responsibility obligations, conduct gate compliance checks and support incident investigations.
• Manage quality checks on delivered materials, quarantine defective items and document returns.
• Report material cost and schedule performance against the construction program and allocate logistics resources to engineers.
• Coordinate traffic guidance schemes, traffic control plans and manage road occupancy and council permit applications.

Required profile

• Diploma or tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in construction logistics, materials coordination or site‑based supply chain roles.
• Working knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Experience with delivery management platforms and inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of just‑in‑time delivery methodology on live construction sites.
