Locum Dentist – Flexible Australia‑wide placements

About the role

Abano Healthcare is seeking AHPRA‑registered dentists for locum assignments across Australia. You will work in a variety of established practices, providing comprehensive dental care while enjoying the flexibility to choose locations and dates that suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform a range of procedures including restorations, extractions, and urgent care.
• Manage patient flow and prioritize emergency cases.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health.
• Collaborate with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards.
• Adapt to different practice environments and systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of dental practice experience in Australia.
• Ability to work independently in both general and emergency dentistry.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Professional indemnity insurance.

What we offer

• $800 base retainer per working day or 40 % commission, whichever is greater.
