About the role
We are seeking an experienced Linux Cloud Compute Operations Engineer to join our Melbourne team. You will be responsible for maintaining stable, secure, and high‑performing Linux environments across cloud and enterprise platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) patching cycles, system configurations and compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex Linux infrastructure incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Develop automation solutions using Ansible, Shell scripting and GitHub.
- Execute controlled changes in production and non‑production environments.
- Support middleware, database and cloud technologies such as MQ, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle Exadata and AWS.
Required profile
- Strong hands‑on experience in Linux administration (RHEL) and performance tuning.
- Proven track record managing enterprise patching cycles and compliance.
- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with global technical teams.
