Library Assistant (Casual Pool)

About the role

Richmond Tweed Regional Library is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Library Assistant to join its Ballina team on a casual basis as part of the Casual Pool. You will help deliver high-quality services to library patrons in a multi-skilled team, supporting library operations such as collections, children's programs and customer assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and provide access to library collections
• Facilitate children's programs
• Assist customers and use automated information systems and databases
• Take part in process and service improvement projects in the team
• Contribute to promotion, programs and related activities
• Create a safe, well-being focused workplace

Required profile

• Higher School Certificate or equivalent
• Australian citizenship or appropriate visa to work in Australia
• Current Class C driver's licence
• NSW Working with Children Check completed before starting

Required skills

• Good interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
• Numeracy, literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
