Lecturer (Level B) - Psychology

About the role

A balanced teaching and research academic position is available in the School of Psychology, within the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide City Campus. The School's research themes are health and wellbeing, human cognition and performance, lifespan development, social and cultural dynamics, and education and meta-research. The role reports to the Dean of the School of Psychology and sits alongside leading researchers, educators and practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the education and development of future psychology graduates through high-quality teaching, supervision, mentoring, research and professional practice.
• Help create engaging learning experiences in on-campus undergraduate and honours programs and in online Graduate Diploma programs.
• Strengthen the School's research and professional activities and contribute to its research themes.
• Join a collaborative academic community and help build collaborations and develop your own academic and professional profile.

Required profile

• A PhD in Psychology.
• Clearly defined research interests aligned with the school's strengths, with feasible funding plans and tangible outputs.
• A record of peer-reviewed publications at national and international level.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate, honours or postgraduate research.
• Demonstrated excellence in tertiary-level teaching, including lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, workshops, marking and assessment.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in online Graduate Diploma programs.
• Experience supervising group honours projects and small research projects.

What we offer

• Full-time, fixed-term contract until 31 December 2027.
• Salary of $121,325 - $143,353 (Level B) plus 17% superannuation.
