English and Humanities Teacher

About the role

Pinnacle College, an independent school founded by the Turkish-Australian community, is seeking a qualified and registered secondary English and Humanities teacher for a full-time, fixed-term position starting in January 2027. The successful applicant will teach both subjects at secondary level, including SACE, and will be expected to inspire students to engage with literature, think critically and achieve excellence.

Required profile

• Qualified and registered teacher with a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum for English and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
• Experience teaching secondary and SACE English and Humanities
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Passion for inspiring students to learn
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
• Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively
• Commitment to the College's mission, vision and core values
• South Australian teacher registration and Working with Children Check

Required skills

• Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms
• Teaching English and Humanities at secondary level
