Middle/Upper Primary Teacher

About the role

Seymour College, an independent girls' school in Adelaide, is looking for passionate and highly capable Primary Teachers to join its Junior Years in 2027. The positions are based at the McGregor Campus and support students across the middle and upper primary years. They are full-time fixed-term positions of 12 months, plus a permanent part-time position of approximately 0.6 FTE focused on Mathematics and STEM.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver contemporary, evidence-informed teaching and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development and their overall wellbeing.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and the wider college community.
• Contribute to co-curricular programs, camps, excursions and college events.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent qualification.
• Eligibility for registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
• Experience teaching in middle and/or upper primary years.
• Strong classroom management and pastoral care capabilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional learning and confidence in using technology in learning programs.
