Learning Support Teacher

About the role

The Australian Christian College Casey campus is seeking a passionate Learning Support Teacher to join its growing team in Term 1 2027. This part‑time specialist position focuses on helping students thrive through targeted teaching, collaboration and inclusive classroom practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted individual and small‑group teaching for students requiring additional support.
• Work alongside classroom teachers to identify learning needs and develop practical strategies.
• Support the development, implementation and review of Individual Learning Plans and targeted learning goals.
• Use assessment data and observations to identify needs and measure the impact of interventions.
• Assist teachers in differentiating curriculum, instruction and assessment for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to ensure purposeful, consistent support.
• Contribute to Student Support Group meetings and partner with parents, carers and professionals.
• Support college processes related to disability adjustments and NCCD reporting.
• Build colleagues’ capacity by sharing effective strategies and fostering an inclusive teaching culture.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Commitment to Christian values and willingness to share faith.
• Evidence of right to work in Australia and clear Working with Children Check.
• Experience or strong interest in learning support, intervention or inclusive education.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, families and external professionals.
