Years 5-8 Coordinator – Online School

About the role

The Years 5-8 Coordinator provides pastoral, academic and organisational leadership for online secondary students in Years 5 to 8 at ACC Victoria Online. Working under the Head of Distance Education, the role ensures students are known, supported and appropriately challenged.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor student engagement, attendance, learning progress, wellbeing and behaviour.
• Support teachers and families and build a cohesive culture of belonging and Christian formation.
• Plan and implement teaching programmes and develop online VCE courses.
• Maintain records of attendance and student progress and implement effective student management.

Required profile

• Committed Christian comfortable sharing faith.
• Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and holds a recognised teaching qualification.
• Evidence of right to work in Australia and clear Working with Children Check.
• Excellent organisational skills and a servant‑heart attitude.

Required skills

• Competent use of ICT learning platforms, particularly Canvas.
• Ability to teach a range of subjects (e.g., Biology, Business Management, Legal Studies, Media, Visual Communication, Applied Computing, Physical Education, Accounting).
• Demonstrated ability to improve student learning outcomes and use data to inform interventions.
