Learning Support Assistant (Primary)

About the role

Medowie Christian School, part of Christian Education Ministries, is seeking a full-time Primary Learning Support Assistant. The position is expected to start in October 2026 and joins the growing Support Team, working alongside academic staff to help students connect with the curriculum, feel supported and cared for, and learn strategies for managing different environments.

Key responsibilities

• Live out your faith in a Christian school community with an attitude of support, care and excellence.
• Contribute to the holistic care and welfare of students.
• Support small groups of students across a range of primary classrooms.
• Facilitate breakout groups where required to enhance student learning.
• Record student support delivered using the school's systems and structures.
• Help students integrate and connect in the classroom and playground.
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility and collaboration with colleagues.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
• An active Christian faith and regular attendance at church.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Attention to detail and accurate data collection and reporting.
