Learning Support Assistant

About the role

Australian Christian College Casey is seeking a caring, capable and committed Learning Support Assistant on a full‑time basis. You will work alongside teachers and the wider Learning Support team to provide practical assistance to students who need additional support to engage successfully in their learning and school life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and small‑group learning support under the direction of teaching staff.
• Assist students to access and participate in classroom learning activities.
• Support students with additional learning, behavioural, social or emotional needs.
• Implement strategies and adjustments identified by teachers and the Learning Support team.
• Assist teachers with the preparation and organisation of learning resources.
• Help students develop greater independence, confidence and engagement in their learning.
• Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive classroom and school environment.

Required profile

• Evidence of the right to work in Australia and a valid Working with Children Check.
• Committed Christian connected with a church and able to relate well to staff, students and parents.
• Servant‑heart attitude with excellent organisational and communication skills.
