L2 Systems & Platform Administrator

About the role

As an L2 Systems & Platform Administrator you will join Infotrust’s internal IT team in Sydney, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the company’s infrastructure, platforms and systems. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the environment is reliable, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain servers, storage, operating systems, virtualization platforms and network components, applying regular updates, patches and upgrades.
• Implement security controls such as firewall configurations, access controls and security policies to protect systems and data.
• Develop, test and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures to guarantee business continuity.
• Monitor system performance and resource utilisation, identify bottlenecks and optimise configurations.
• Manage the internal IT ticket queue, triage, prioritise and resolve incidents to meet service‑level targets.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT hardware, including procurement, deployment, asset tracking and secure decommissioning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge‑base articles and system diagrams.
• Support change‑management activities and assist with internal compliance and ISMS evidence collection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a solid understanding of networking principles.
