Kitchen Hand / Food Services Assistant

About the role

Bayside Health, a public health service in Victoria, is hiring a Food Services Assistant (Kitchen Hand) in Frankston. The role supports the provision of food services for inpatients as part of the Support Services team, and casual opportunities are available. It sits under classification Food and Domestic Assistant Grade 2 (IN14).

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, meal plating and distribution.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and food service areas to keep them safe and efficient.
• Work closely with patients, visitors and colleagues to maintain high customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Guidelines, Victorian Cleaning Standards and organisational procedures.

Required profile

• Food Safety Handler Certificate HLTFSE001 (post 2015).
• Able to work reliably and courteously.
• Available on weekends.
• Experience in a large-scale industrial kitchen is desirable.
