Key Account Manager – Strategic Growth in Pet Care

About the role

Join a global, innovative pet‑care business as a Key Account Manager responsible for owning and expanding a portfolio of strategic customers across Australia, including retail, distribution and e‑commerce partners. You will drive revenue growth, negotiate high‑value deals and collaborate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow key retail, distributor and e‑commerce accounts.
• Develop and execute account plans that deliver revenue, margin and profit targets.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, trading terms and promotions.
• Convert high‑value pipeline opportunities into closed deals.
• Conduct regular performance and strategy reviews with customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify new channel opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time launch and promotion execution.
• Track sales, margin and account performance and provide business reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing key or national accounts, preferably in FMCG, pet or retail sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and commercial acumen.
• Strategic mindset with disciplined execution.
• Confident negotiator with a track record of closing deals.
• Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
• Genuine passion for pets and improving the lives of pet parents.
