Justice Officer

About the role

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is recruiting a Justice Officer for an ongoing, full-time role in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne (Epping Community Work). The officer provides administrative support and helps people access justice services, working at Epping and supporting other local offices. The advertised salary is $62,104 - $79,753 per year, plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reliable admin support for community work, corrections and sheriff services
• Greet people, answer questions and help them complete forms and applications
• Manage accurate records, data, mail and routine letters and reports
• Support finance, staff, fleet and office needs to keep services running
• Work with the team to improve services and help at other sites when needed

Required profile

• No formal qualifications required
• Good computer skills and confidence using different systems and programs
• Ability to work well with others and share information to meet team goals
• Calm and flexible approach when tasks or priorities change
• Strong customer service skills, treating people fairly and handling private information with care
