IT Support Specialist

About the role

ALO is looking for an IT Support Specialist to lead technology operations and service delivery across its retail and corporate footprint in Australia. The role combines hands‑on technical support, team leadership, and regional project management for new store openings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and develop a regional team of technical support and field service staff.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for retail stores, including POS systems, in‑store networking, payment terminals and other store devices.
• Own the technology deployment lifecycle for new store openings – network installation, POS and hardware setup, connectivity testing and go‑live support.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for technology issues affecting retail and corporate operations and ensure timely ticket resolution.
• Coordinate with local vendors, ISPs and contractors to meet infrastructure standards and timelines.
• Maintain the local IT asset lifecycle and support corporate help‑desk requests for hardware, software and network access.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT/technical operations management with direct people‑management responsibility.
• Proven experience supporting retail technologies such as POS systems, networking and payment terminals.
• Strong corporate help‑desk background, including ticketing systems, hardware/software troubleshooting and asset management.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly within Australia.
• Experience working in a global retail or apparel brand’s technology organization and familiarity with Australian IT compliance requirements.
