Investment Associate – Renewable Energy

About the role

Octopus Australia is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Melbourne or Sydney office. You will work across renewable investment and development opportunities, supporting the team’s M&A and deployment ambitions across solar, wind and battery storage projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the full M&A deal process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess project risk and bankability.
• Prepare investment committee and board materials, presenting analysis and recommendations.
• Support portfolio management by analysing new opportunities and monitoring existing assets.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless transaction execution.

Required profile

• Strong interest in the Australian renewable energy sector.
• Ability to work both in detail and from a portfolio perspective.
• Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience presenting ideas to senior management.
