About the role
Electrolight is seeking an Intermediate Lighting Designer to join its Sydney team. You will work within a collaborative design group on iconic hospitality, hotel, residential, commercial, retail, landscape and urban projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop lighting concepts based on detailed research and innovative technical application.
- Liaise with clients, design team members, suppliers and contractors throughout project stages.
- Create design documentation, drawings and visualisations using CAD or Revit.
- Perform lighting calculations, modelling and cost estimates.
- Prepare reports, sketches and presentations with the Indesign suite.
Required profile
- Design background with a qualification in Lighting Design, Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in architectural lighting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and communicate effectively.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CAD, Revit, AGI and the Adobe Indesign Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience with lighting calculation software and visualisation tools.
- Knowledge of lamps, luminaires and the physics of light.
- Familiarity with 3D Studio Max is advantageous.
