Integrated Response Officer - High Risk Team, Rural and Remote

About the role

Queensland Corrective Services is recruiting a full-time Integrated Response Officer for its High Risk Team, based in rural and remote locations. The role sits within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area, and focuses on the most important attributes of the position.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience working within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area.
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional discretion, reasoning, judgement and decision-making before seeking management validation.
• Previous experience building effective relationships with parts of QCS and other agencies.
• Professional communication and respectful engagement with colleagues, offenders, management and stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with sensitivity to cultural protocols and the impact of historical policies and practices.
• A relevant degree in human services or criminology fields (Law, Justice, Humanities, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Business or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies) is highly regarded.
• Completion of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 12 months of employment, with certification achieved within 18 months.
• Willingness to undertake professional development and training as required for the location, and to travel on official business; a C class licence is required and mandatory in some locations.
