Case Manager - Community Corrections

About the role

Community Corrections supervises individuals in the community under court and Parole Board Queensland orders. As a Case Manager you will work in a team supervising people under community-based orders, helping them meet their obligations and access support so they can make meaningful life changes. The role is vital to community safety by reducing the risk of supervised individuals reoffending.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure community safety by interviewing individuals, identifying potential risks and responding promptly with appropriate risk management strategies
• Lead efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate individuals under community supervision
• Support public safety by ensuring compliance with the conditions of community-based orders
• Deliver evidence-based case management, develop tailored supervision plans and guide individuals toward a crime-free future
• Manage complexity and pace by multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
• Apply policy and procedural frameworks accurately and with sound judgment to day-to-day offender management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to human services or criminology (Law, Justice, Humanities, Psychology, Social Sciences, Behavioural Science, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Business or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies); final-year students may apply for temporary vacancies
• Current C class driver's licence
• Right to live and work in Australia
• Appointees must complete the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 12 months, with full certification within 18 months
