Probation Services Officer

About the role

Queensland Corrective Services' Community Corrections supervises adult offenders across Queensland, operating from offices in seven regions including metropolitan, rural and remote areas. As a Probation Services Officer you will encourage pro-social behaviour, promote rehabilitation and help people make positive life changes while supporting community safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery
• Strong awareness of sensitive issues, with a commitment to privacy and legislative compliance
• Well-developed communication skills, including conducting difficult conversations, resolving issues and negotiating positive outcomes
• Current C class driver's licence is required
• Formal qualifications are not mandatory, but tertiary qualifications in human services are highly regarded
• Training relevant to operational demands (for example urinalysis testing, court-related duties) may be required, as identified by the relevant delegate
