In-Water Guide & Photographer

About the role

Exmouth Dive & Whalesharks Ningaloo, an experiential tourism business based on the Ningaloo Reef in Exmouth, Western Australia, is hiring an In-Water Guide and Photographer-Videographer. Working alongside the vessel master and crew, you will lead snorkelling and wildlife interactions, give marine ecology briefings, and capture and deliver high-quality photo and video content. The business operates from February/March to October/November.

Key responsibilities

• Lead guests during snorkelling and wildlife interactions, ensuring safe, engaging and memorable experiences.
• Deliver informative wildlife and marine ecology briefings and provide exceptional customer service.
• Capture, edit and deliver photo and video content of guests, marine life and tour experiences.
• Coordinate guest activities, equipment fitting and in-water operations while supporting the vessel crew and daily tour logistics.
• Assist with vessel presentation, tour preparation, equipment maintenance and end-of-day pack-down.
• Maintain high standards of safety, environmental compliance and professionalism.

Required profile

• Experience in a comparable role within marine tourism.
• Experience in photography and videography within a marine tourism setting.
• Own camera, lens and housing suitable for photography and videography.
• Current Dive Master certification (required).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (required).
• Current driver's licence with LR endorsement (willing to obtain before start date).
• Willingness to obtain Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation, RSA certificate and Exmouth Shire food handling certificate before starting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in photo and video editing software such as Adobe Lightroom, DxO Photolab or DaVinci Resolve, and related file management.
• Strong communication and ability to engage guests from all walks of life.
