In-Store Visual Merchandise Manager

About the role

The Visual Merchandise Manager joins the store leadership team to drive visual and product strategy, ensuring the store is always customer‑ready. This role blends planning, product knowledge, reporting analysis and visual execution to support efficient merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support execution of operational and visual processes, championing strong visual standards using business performance data.
• Lead strategic product presentation, managing recovery, restock, destock and visual changes in partnership with the Visual Manager.
• Plan visual floor changes, manage payroll for visual support, and own visual direction from planning through execution within budget and timelines.
• Utilise reporting tools with management to identify placement and stock opportunities and adjust as needed.
• Represent the business in meetings with the General Manager, monitor budgets, expenses and sell‑through metrics, and contribute to quarterly business reviews.
• Lead and develop the visual team, ensuring alignment with ALO’s mission, coaching, talent development and succession planning.
• Ensure visual deliverables meet KPI targets while maintaining operational efficiency and brand culture.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
• Ability to work flexibly across rotating rosters, including weekends and peak periods.
• Physical ability to move around the store, lift 10‑15 kg, and stand for an entire shift.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Agile multitasking in a changing environment with strong time‑management and personal accountability.
