ILS Analyst (LSAR) – Defence Logistics Support

About the role

The ILS Analyst (LSAR) will support a critical Defence maintenance baseline uplift program, ensuring the integrity of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data for complex naval platforms. The role is based at Garden Island, Sydney and works closely with the Project Lead to validate and realign LSAR outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse LSAR data to identify misalignments, gaps and inconsistencies against the approved product baseline and maintenance concepts.
• Provide LSAR input to remediate maintenance data across MCCAT, ERP, APLCRATES/NAVALLOW and related supportability artefacts.
• Develop evidence‑based summaries of LSAR deviations and their impacts for decision‑making and risk management.
• Validate LSAR‑derived attributes to support configuration and data‑integrity activities.
• Collaborate with SQEPs, Configuration Officers and Technical Publication Authors to embed LSAR outputs into updated technical manuals.

Required profile

• Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma or higher in a relevant technical discipline, or ADF Subject 4 qualification.
• Extensive experience in Logistics Support Analysis and Integrated Logistics Support within the Defence maritime domain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance related to ship systems.

Required skills

• Experience with reliability analysis software such as OPUS, MADe and eLESPro.
• Knowledge of configuration management and maintenance engineering support in an integrated logistics environment.
• Familiarity with Defence security clearance processes (Baseline Defence Security Clearance).
