Human Resources Advisor

About the role

This position offers a rare opportunity to join a national transport and logistics company with a strong culture and workforce stability. Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the HR Advisor will support employees and management across the full HR function, helping the business remain an employer of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily employee allocation and timesheets, prioritising accuracy.
• Administer fortnightly workers compensation payments and coordinate with external stakeholders and medical providers.
• Support payroll and labour management activities, including employee life‑cycle processes from recruitment to departure.
• Monitor compliance with HR policies, plans and programmes, and assist managers with performance management.
• Provide guidance on people‑related issues, industrial relations plans and investigations, delivering recommendations to senior line managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational environment, preferably with workplace relations and people management.
• Excellent written communication and comprehension skills.
• Proven ability to support supervisors and managers in performance management.
• Approachable, personable and capable of building rapport with a diverse workforce.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
