HR Advisor – Generalist Support

About the role

Primero is seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join its HR team in a brand‑new CBD office. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle in a fast‑paced, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end HR advice and support to employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Manage day‑to‑day HR enquiries, guide managers on people‑management best practices, and support employee‑relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes and performance management.
• Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, contribute to workforce reporting and analytics, and assist with HR projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate employee engagement, recognition activities and support the planning and delivery of training and development programmes.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities to enhance HR processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• Tertiary or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of HR experience in mining, construction, engineering or resources sectors.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
