Housekeeping Attendant - Multiple Sydney Locations

About the role

Minor Hotels is hiring Housekeeping Attendants for its Oaks Sydney properties (Goldsbrough, Hyde Park, Castlereagh and North Ryde Suites) to help keep guest rooms and apartments clean, comfortable and welcoming. The position is casual with a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, starting between 8:00am and 9:00am; weekend and public holiday availability is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms and apartments, including making beds, vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards, using cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively (training and tools provided).
• Build positive relationships with team members, guests and contractors.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure guest areas are presented to the highest standard.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning or hospitality experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and good physical fitness, able to bend, lift and stand for long periods.
• Good time management, organisational skills, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical handling is advantageous, with training provided.
• Professional communication skills and a team-focused approach.
