Home and Garden Maintenance Worker (Casual)

About the role

HenderCare is looking for experienced Home and Garden Maintenance workers to join its team on a casual basis, supporting aged care and disability clients in their homes across Adelaide Metro (South, East and North). Workers drive to several clients' homes each day and week, and roster shifts through the AlayaCare app. Shifts are generally 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekends or public holidays, and pay is weekly every Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Gutter and window cleaning, internal and external.
• High cleaning and dusting of elevated or hard-to-reach areas such as skylights, cupboard tops and ceiling fans.
• Lawn mowing, pruning, weeding and hedge trimming.
• Installing battery-operated smoke detectors.
• Replacing shower heads, tap washers and light bulbs.

Required profile

• Previous experience providing home and garden maintenance.
• Caring nature, patience, empathy and good communication with clients.
• Own reliable smartphone compatible with the AlayaCare app (iOS 16+ or Android 10+).
• Current National Police Check, current Working with Children Check (employee type) and current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Own gardening and maintenance equipment and vehicle, including a UTE or trailer to carry tools.
• Right to work in Australia; successful candidates must pass pre-employment checks.
