Heavy Vehicle Mechanic – Sydney Airport

About the role

TCR Group is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join its Sydney workshop supporting airport ground support trucks. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance and diagnostics to keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on ground support trucks, adhering to high trade standards.
• Perform servicing, diagnostics, and record service data accurately.
• Carry out field service tasks and report daily to the Shift Supervisor.
• Collaborate with fabricators, technicians and assistants to develop effective solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanic trade qualification and own tools.
• Current valid driver’s licence.
• Strong focus on safety standards and ability to work within procedural guidelines.
• Good communication skills, proactive attitude and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience with diesel engines.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Mechanical repair and diagnostic expertise.
