Head of Procurement – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

InvoCare is seeking a Head of Procurement to transform its procurement function into a strategic commercial enabler. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Commercial, you will own an enterprise‑wide portfolio covering direct and indirect categories, fleet strategy and supply‑chain performance across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead complex negotiations, tenders and supplier partnerships.
• Manage a $250M+ contract renewal portfolio.
• Drive commercial governance and procurement compliance.
• Oversee fleet strategy and supply‑chain performance.
• Deliver measurable value while protecting business continuity.
• Partner with executive and operational leaders across the organisation.

Required profile

• Senior procurement, category management or commercial leadership experience.
• Expertise in sourcing, tendering, supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Experience operating within complex, multi‑site organisations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at executive and operational levels.
• Practical, solutions‑focused leadership style.
• Confidence using data and reporting to drive decisions.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, aged care, healthcare, logistics or supply‑chain environments is highly regarded.
