Head Chef - FIFO 2:1 Roster

About the role

Sodexo is recruiting Head Chefs for a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) position based in Sydney, with a 2:1 roster (two weeks on-site, one week at home) and 11-hour shifts. The role sits within a permanent position offering stability and career growth, and involves leading bulk cooking operations on remote sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead bulk cooking operations on remote sites with high quality and safety standards
• Manage operations profitability, budgets and food quality standards, including HACCP compliance
• Foster team growth in a dynamic, diverse environment while maintaining client relationships

Required profile

• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full Australian working rights
• Trade certificate or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Proven experience leading a team in mass-catering environments, including breakfast, dinner, crib and pastry meals
• HACCP knowledge, leadership and organisational skills
• Flexibility and reliability for 11-hour days on a 2:1 roster, and willingness to relocate at own expense if needed
