Guest Services Agent (Local Host) - Pre-Opening Hotel

About the role

Punthill Brisbane Airport is a new state-of-the-art hotel opening late November 2026, located in Brisbane's airport and trade precinct. It will start with 38 apartment-style apartments and expand to more than 130 across three stages. As a Local Host, you will be the face of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences while helping bring the property to life from day one. The role reports to the Hotel Manager and sits in a small, hands-on team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a high level of guest services at all touchpoints (check-in, check-out, during the stay)
• Solve complaints and problems creatively
• Act as a true host and local connection, advising guests on points of interest in the area
• Handle emergency situations safely and professionally
• Identify opportunities to increase returning and new guests
• Support the Hotel Manager in keeping the hotel to Veri-Best standards

Required profile

• Adaptable, enjoys variety and has an ownership mindset
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays on rotation (no overnight shifts required)
• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or visa with approved working rights)
• First Aid certificate, or ability to obtain one before starting
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, or ability to obtain one before starting
