Group Insurance Lead

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced insurance professional to join ANZ's Non-Financial Risk Frameworks & Capital team. Reporting to the Head of NFR Frameworks & Capital, you will manage ANZ's corporate insurance programme and provide specialist advice on insurance risk transfer, governance and claims management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of ANZ's Group Insurance Program, including annual renewals, policy placements and insurer negotiations.
• Coordinate significant insurance claims and recovery activities.
• Provide insurance advice for business initiatives, contractual arrangements, emerging risks and change programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Support operational risk scenario analysis and risk‑transfer opportunities.
• Contribute to governance, reporting and continuous improvement across the insurance portfolio.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing complex corporate insurance programmes.
• Deep understanding of financial lines, property, liability and cyber insurance.
• Strong experience managing insurer, broker and stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in insurance claims management and recovery.
• Strong commercial judgement and risk‑management capability.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide pragmatic advice.
• Experience in financial services or other large regulated organisations is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, risk, insurance or a related discipline preferred.
