Grain Bar Manager

About the role

The Grain Bar Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operation and success of the Grain Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, located in the historic Rocks district. The role delivers exceptional guest experiences through outstanding beverage service, innovative cocktail and bar offerings and an engaged team culture. It works closely with the Food and Beverage leadership team to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction and uphold the bar's reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a passionate team, and foster a positive, high-energy culture
• Oversee all aspects of bar operations, ensuring seamless service and luxury hospitality standards
• Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns proactively
• Recruit, coach and mentor staff, supporting training and career development
• Partner with culinary, sales and marketing teams on promotions, menu innovations and signature bar experiences
• Champion safety, hygiene and workplace compliance
• Maximise revenue through smart pricing, forecasting and business planning
• Manage inventory, labour costs and financial performance
• Keep the bar fresh and relevant by following industry trends

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a premium bar or restaurant environment
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop teams
• Commercial mindset with experience managing revenue, costs, budgets and profitability
• Interest in beverage trends, cocktails and guest engagement
