About the role
Join SMEC’s Rail & Metro team in North Sydney as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. You will be part of a two‑year Graduate Development Program, gaining hands‑on experience on major rail and metro infrastructure projects while receiving structured learning and mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Support design development, including drawings, models and technical documentation.
- Assist with engineering calculations and analysis under senior guidance.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to understand design implementation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design inputs and meet project milestones.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D (or similar tools like 12D).
